Duties. Installs, operates, and maintains the following operating systems: UNIX and Windows 2000/2003/XP. Provides system administration for the following C2 systems: IOS v1, GCCS, Intelligence Operations Workstation (IOW) and GCCS Client Workstation. Maintains the aforementioned tactical systems and associated workstations by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting each in accordance with supporting technical documentation. Develops instructional material and instructs on the installation, operation, and maintenance of UNIX, IOS v1, IOW and GCCS Client Workstations. Develop, test, and evaluate interoperability procedures for these systems. Will travel frequently to provide IOS v1, IOW, and GCCS Client Workstation instruction and onsite technical assistance to Marine Corps operating forces and supporting establishments. Civilian Education. High School Diploma or equivalent. UNIX System Administrator- Level 2 and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are desirable. Military Education. Formal training at one of the following courses: GCCS System Administrator, or IOW System Administrator Course. Formal training in military instructor/curriculum developer is desired. Military/Government/Civilian Experience. Minimum six years in military operational planning and execution. Minimum three years experience with the installation, operation, and maintenance of UNIX, Windows 2000/2003/XP, IOS v1, IOW, and GCCS Client Workstation. Direct participation in real world operations is desired. Proof of Security Clearance. Must be eligible for at least a secret clearance.
